Christ Church, Episcopal
Cambridge, Massachusetts

In addition to being one of the Boston area’s oldest churches, it is of note to the organ world: E. Power Biggs was once organist here, and Charles Fisk was one of his boy choristers. The parish’s 1940 Aeolian-Skinner had been considerably revised and fitted with a new console. A survey of existing conditions, recommendations and meetings in 1999 and 2000 were geared toward producing a disinterested and responsible plan for the organ. The church decided to sell the organ, and will receive a new organ from Schoenstein & Co. in 2006.
