Memphis Cook Convention Center
Memphis, Tennessee
The City of Memphis proudly purchased twin Kimball organs in 1929 for the Ellis Auditorium, whose seating capacity exceeded 10,000. That building was razed in 1997, and the organs stored. The smaller of the two instruments has been relocated to the United Methodist Church in Bartlett, Tennessee (a Memphis suburb). Still in storage, the larger organ required evaluation and appraisal for re-sale purposes. |
