The University of Minnesota
Northrop Auditorium
Minneapolis, Minnesota

Project consultation here considered the University’s Aeolian-Skinner, built in stages between 1932 and ’36. At 108 ranks, this is not only the most sizable unaltered G. Donald Harrison organ built between 1928 and 1937 but one of the largest original Skinner or Aeolian-Skinner organs in existence. Consultation involved not only restoration guidance but also protecting the organ’s interests as they intersect with future reconsideration of this 5000-seat auditorium dating from 1931.
