Saint Boniface Episcopal Church
Sarasota, Florida

M.P. Möller, 1979; three manuals, 47 ranks

Housed in an especially favorable acoustical environment, the organ at Saint Boniface was revoiced to take advantage of the excellent opportunity the situation afforded. Working as an assistant to Jeff Weiler, the result is a dramatic instrument that, despite certain compromises of the original stoplist (which remained unaltered), is especially suited to romantic repertoire. Revoicing took place in September and October of 1997, with additional revisions in March 1998. The English organist Jeremy Filsell selected this instrument to record the complete organ music of Marcel Dupré, culminating in a twelve-CD set available from Guild Music (www.guildmusic.com).
